|Duties:||The Regional Director of Human Resources (RHRD) has the responsibility regarding all HR matters at the hotels and golf courses they oversee. The RHRD will work closely with the HR team, GM’s and other Executive Members to ensure HR matters are addressed and managed effectively. |
Responsibilities in this role include (but are not limited to): HR budget, labor/payroll management, departmental training initiatives, risk management (WC management), unemployment claim management, benefit administration, recruitment, investigations, employee relations, performance management and employee/ manager on-boarding. The RHRD plays an integral role in ensuring that a strong, fun team culture exists within the hotels and golf courses.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; Must be experienced with sexual harassment and wage & hour training and compliance; RHRD is responsible for staying abreast of labor laws and ensuring best practices; proven track record of managing multiple properties; ability to coach, manage and develop HR staff; 5-8 years of experience in senior HR role required.
Must be proficient in HRIS, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and type 40-50 wpm, and have strong analytical skills. 1,000+ employee organization (hospitality or service industry required) experience desired. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required. This role requires a true hands-on leader, not afraid to jump in and assist as needed.
The Human Resources office is located at the Rancho Bernardo Inn but the RHRD will travel to other locations regularly as needed.
